Error

#4 - Stack launch failures.

One of the most common reasons a stack launch fails is related to a failure of a Dell Cloud Manager agent. This can be the result of the agent not being installed or not being able to connect to the Dell Cloud Manager server.

Verify that the template is either launching the server(s) from machine images that have the Dell Cloud Manager agent installed on them, or the template installs the Dell Cloud Manager agent in the startup: section of the server node_template.

Error

#5 - create-blueprint-command fails with "Msg: no corresponding server product found!!"

The Dell Cloud Manager Blueprint function requires that you have pricing for the server products in the Dell Cloud Manager provisioning database server_product table for the server products you specify in the template productMappings section. Otherwise the create-blueprint-command will fail. Refer to the Dell Cloud Manager Administrator’s Guide Server Pricing for more information on configuring the server pricing.

Error

#6 - You receive an error similar to this error below when launching a stack with a server in a virtual network (VPC):

Error message: failed with exception: java.lang.Exception: failing step due to subtask failure: Error: org.dasein.cloud.aws.compute.EC2Exception: The security group 'sg-1dfffb77' does not exist in VPC 'vpc-cac947ae'

You did not code a requirements section on the FirewallGroup node (linked from the Server node) on the Network node which links that firewall to the virtual network. Refer to the FirewallGroup node for more details.
