Create linux accountΒΆ

In order to be able to create linux user accounts on servers launched from Dell Cloud Manager, you will need to add your ssh public key to your Dell Cloud Manager user account profile. Refer to the Configure ssh public key page in the document for instructions on how to add your public ssh key to your Dell Cloud Manager user account profile.

Note

The Dell Cloud Manager agent must be installed and running on the launched server, and connected to the Dell Cloud Manager server in order to be able to create a linux account on the launched server.

To create a linux user account on a linux server launched from Dell Cloud Manager:

  • Click on the Server
  • Click on the Edit Server button

  • Click on the Users Management tab
  • Select your Dell Cloud Manager user account from the user account dropdown listbox
  • Select the desired linux account type (ADMINISTRATOR or USER)
  • Click on the Grant access button

  • Click on the Update Server button to create the linux user account
